SEOUL, Korea-Samsung Group is providing the Nagano Olympic Organizing Committee with four types of wireless communications equipment, six network and systems experts and 14,000 mobile units, including radios, pagers and personal digital cellular phones designed specifically for the Nagano Olympic Winter Games, the company said.
The equipment will be used to manage Olympic communications and also will be leased by the committee to the media and Olympic athletes and sponsors. Under an agreement established last year, Samsung will use NTT DoCoMo’s services for its cellular phones in Nagano.
