JACKSON, Miss.-Mobile Telecommunication Technologies Corp. announced improvements in its financial status following preliminary fourth-quarter results.
Consolidated operating cash flow reached $20 million in the quarter ended Dec. 31, almost 40-percent greater than the previous quarter. Consolidated revenues during the quarter reached $113 million, compared with $89.7 million in the same period of 1196, a 26-percent increase.
The addition of 74,700 units to Mtel’s advanced messaging network was the company’s highest quarterly performance to date. The company reported 207,900 total advanced massaging units in service.
For the year, Mtel added 240,300 domestic units in service, representing a 21.6-percent annual growth. More than 70 percent of its net adds were for alphanumeric services. The company also added 62,200 one-way units for the year, totaling 1.1 million, of which 80 percent are FLEX-based.
