STOCKHOLM, Sweden-L.M. Ericsson announced a $100 million agreement with Optimus to supply switching and radio equipment for its Global System for Mobile communications dual-band wireless telephony network in Portugal.
Optimus was awarded Portugal’s third mobile license in November 1997, and plans to start commercial operations with national coverage during the third quarter.
