SAN DIEGO-Qualcomm Inc. and DeTeMobil of Bonn, Germany, said they are planning to offer Pegasos-QEDesign, a wireless network planning and deployment software suite for multiple technologies, including Code Division Multiple Access, Global System for Mobile communications and various analog standards.
The combined software package produces propagation models of Interim Standard-95-compliant CDMA systems for cellular, personal communications services and wireless local loop systems. The tool offers a graphical user interface for functions including demand modeling, traffic planning, CDMA hand-off simulation, multilayer data set imaging, minicell propagation modeling and complete plot and report generation. The new software suite also supports all required GSM planning and modeling functions, as well as network operations and maintenance over the life cycle of the mobile system, said the companies.
