DALLAS-Chatham Technologies Inc., Dallas, announced Feb. 23 it signed a letter of intent to acquire Innovation Inc., a Bothell, Wash., manufacturer of base stations for the wireless industry.
Chatham was formed last year through acquisitions and strategic partnerships with eight custom electronic equipment enclosure manufacturers in the United States and Europe. It operates 16 manufacturing facilities and has about 1,900 employees.
The acquisition letter of intent includes rights to Innovation’s new PW1200, which supplies primary power and indefinite backup power for cell sites. PW1200 is designed to reduce dramatically the costs associated with deployment, maintenance and ongoing operation of wireless communications sites.
The companies did not disclose terms of the acquisition.
