WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.-PriCellular Corp. selected Xypoint Corp.’s wireless enhanced-911 service and signed an exclusive, multi-year contract that covers all PriCellular holdings, said Xypoint.
Xypoint’s ISUP-LENS solution will be installed in PriCellular’s switching centers and will enable the public-safety community to determine the 10-digit phone number and general location of callers dialing 911 for emergency assistance.
PriCellular, which operates under the CellularOne service mark, owns cellular systems covering approximately 5.1 million people in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, Kentucky and Tennessee.
