DULLES, Va.-Orbcomm Global L.P., which provides commercial low-earth-orbit satellite data and messaging communications services, said it awarded Pro IV Ltd. of Great Britain a multiyear contract to install a Little LEO customer-care and billing system to serve clients and licensees worldwide.
Pro IV also will provide training and support services for the system, which successfully completed acceptance testing with Orbcomm’s satellite gateway control system. The billing system implementation is another milestone in Orbcomm’s “Countdown to Global Service,” and brings the company “dramatically closer to full commercial operation” of its satellite network, Orbcomm said.
