SAN DIEGO-Qualcomm Inc. announced that it entered into a royalty-bearing license agreement with Uniden Multimedia Corp. that allows Uniden to manufacture and sell subscriber products based on Code Division Multiple Access technology. The products can be used for cdmaOne wireless applications such as cellular, personal communications services and wireless local loop offerings.
“To be a significant factor in the global wireless market, Uniden has chosen CDMA technology from Qualcomm to help us reach our goal of becoming a major provider of wireless handsets worldwide,” said Paul Davis, president of Uniden.
