SMITH MICRO UPGRADES HOTPAGE SOFTWARE

ALISO VIEJO, Calif.-Smith Micro Software Inc. said it released its version 3.0 HotPage software, which provides message management and transmission to alphanumeric and numeric pagers from computer systems using Microsoft Corp.’s Windows 3x, Windows 95, Windows 98 and Windows NT.

HotPage allows users to compose and send paging messages as they would e-mail, eliminating the need to call a paging operator, said Smith Micro. Users can send one message to several accounts, schedule repeat pages for reminder messages or set the pager to send a message at a future time. Incoming e-mail messages can be sent directly to HotPage users’ alphanumeric pagers.

It is compatible with any AT command set compatible modem or TAPI compliant modem, the company said.
