WASHINGTON, D.C.-The Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association unveiled an updated brochure aimed at consumers with hearing disabilities.
The brochure, entitled “Access,” is intended to help educate deaf and hard of hearing consumers about the choices they have in selecting wireless phone products and services.
The brochure includes information about using digital and analog phones with hearing aids, wireless phones with t-coil coupling capability, compatibility of TTY systems with wireless phones, external devices like ear plugs and portable amplification devices and phones with vibrating alerts.
