CLEVELAND-Reltec Corp. said its financial results will not meet analysts’ expectations because of issues and circumstances it believes to be unique to the fiscal period.
Reltec experienced a capacity shortfall in part of its Network Components business, which it expects to be remedied by early in the fourth quarter.
Second, threatened and actual labor strikes among telecom carriers disrupted planning and construction during July and August, said the company.
Third, Reltec shifted some major account activity from construction and to maintenance and repair of existing lines damaged during severe bad weather in the South.
For third quarter, Reltec expects to generate net sales of between $245 million and $255 million, and earnings per share before one-time items of between 6 cents and 8 cents per share.
