CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.-Powertel Inc. launched wireless personal communications services in Chattanooga, Tenn., expanding its market to 27 metropolitan areas and major highway corridors throughout 12 Southeastern states with 11 million pops.
The Chattanooga market includes Chatsworth, Chickamauga, Dalton, Fairview, Fort Oglethorpe, Rossville and Trenton in Georgia; and Cleveland, Collegedale, East Ridge, Harrison, Jasper, Lakesite, Middle Valley, Ooltwah, Red Bank, Signal Mountain, Soddy-Daisy and Summit in Tennessee.
Powertel has opened one store in Chattanooga and plans to open others to meet market demands, the company said.
