LONDON-Orange plc said it will offer the equivalent of any competitor’s digital package on its network under a new program called the Orange Value Promise.
The U.K.-based operator has studied its competitors’ pricing and believes its packages-which customers can switch back to for free-give the best value, Orange said.
“We firmly believe Orange offers the best value,” said Bob Fuller, chief operating officer at Orange. “There is so much confusion about mobile prices, however, that we are prepared to put our money where our mouth is.”
The Orange Value Promise deliberately is being launched at the beginning of the fourth quarter, typically the peak selling period for mobile phones in the months leading up to Christmas.
