BAP ACQUISITION TO MERGE WITH PAGING PARTNERS

FREEHOLD, N.J.-BAP Acquisition Corp., which in July signed a definitive agreement to buy Bell Atlantic Corp.’s paging assets, has agreed to merge with Paging Partners Corp. Under terms of the agreement, BAP stockholders will own 58.5 percent of the merged organization and several of its principals will take on management positions at Paging Partners.Together, Bell Atlantic’s and Paging Partners’ subscribers total 420,000. BAP took the name BAP Acquisition Corp. when it announced its intention to buy Bell Atlantic’s paging operations and likely will form a new name soon.
