CINCINNATI-Cincinnati Bell Inc. announced it has formed its joint venture with AT&T
Wireless Services Inc. to provide personal communications services in the Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio,
markets.
Cincinnati Bell acquired from AT&T Wireless an 80-percent interest in the joint venture. The purchase
price is expected to be $165 million, once the joint venture’s 1998 results are tallied.
According to Jack Cassidy,
president of Cincinnati Bell Wireless, the venture secured more than 50,000 subscribers in fewer than eight months of
operation.
