PRICE COMMUNICATIONS REPORTS 30-PERCENT SUBSCRIBER INCREASE

NEW YORK-Price Communications Corp. announced its Price Communications Wireless
subsidiary recorded 72,385 net subscriber additions in 1998, vs. 55,632 for 1997, an increase of 30 percent for the year
on a same store sales basis. The company finished the year with 381,977 subscribers.

“Our penetration for the
year rose to 11.6 percent, which we feel is still a long way from the maximum we can achieve in our cluster,”
said Robert Price, president of Price Communications. “We continue to add subscriber growth on a daily basis,
hence, we need more cell site capacity. It is prudent now to slightly ‘loosen up’ on our capital expenditures to meet this
new problem of too many busy signals, which is not acceptable to the company or our subscribers.”
