CALGARY, Alberta, Canada-Isotel Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of DSP Communications
Inc., announced it was awarded a contract to supply IS-130A/IS-135 software to Lucent Technologies Inc. Lucent will
incorporate the Isotel software in the wireless network infrastructure it provides to global network operators.
The
IS-130A/IS-135 protocols support data and fax operations on Time Division Multiple Access networks, providing
mobile users with wireless access to services such as e-mail and the Internet over standard TDMA traffic channels, said
Isotel.
