CENTURY SELLS TO WESTERN WIRELESS

MONROE, La.-Century Telephone Enterprises Inc. announced it has signed a definitive asset
purchase agreement to sell all of its cellular operations in Brownsville and McAllen, Texas, to Western Wireless Corp.
for $95 million in cash.
