CELLNET TO BUILD GPRS NETWORK SUPPLIED BY MOTOROLA

SWINDON, U.K.-Cellnet announced it will build a General Packet Radio Service wireless data
network supplied by Motorola Inc.’s Network Solutions Sector, in a $50 million deal.

The GPRS capability will give
Cellnet subscribers the ability to access the Internet and Internet Protocol-based services from mobile phones, the
company said.

Motorola will deliver the network via an agreement with Cisco Systems Inc., also announced this
week, in which Motorola will incorporate Cisco’s IP technology in its network solutions.
