SANTA CLARA, Calif.-GWcom Inc. said it received investment funding from Intel Corp.,
which GWcom plans to use to expand its business activities and provide it with the opportunity to collaborate with Intel
to optimize StrongARM processor technology for digital wireless communications markets. Bill Johnson, vice
president and general manager of Intel’s StrongARM and Bridges Division, said, “Technologies such as those
offered by GWcom, combined with the high performance and very low power of Intel’s StrongARM microprocessors,
hold the potential of making Internet access on smaller devices more common.”
