OMNIPOINT ELIMINATES ROAMING FEES

CEDAR KNOLLS, N.J.-Omnipoint Communications Inc. became the first Global System for
Mobile communications carrier to eliminate long-distance and roaming charges on GSM networks in the United States
and Canada. The company also announced OmniRate International, a rate plan that allows customers to call more than
40 different countries ranging from 29 cents to 59 cents per minute.
