COMSAT TO OFFER ISDN SERVICE

HANNOVER, Germany-Comsat Corp. introduced a mobile communications service designed to
provide Integrated Services Digital Network capabilities at 64 kilobits per second from remote locations using a
lightweight, portable satellite terminal.

“The service will open up mobile satellite communications to a new
category of customers who increasingly need to be networked with employees on travel or working in remote locations.
These customers include companies from the finance, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical and various service
industries,” said Tom Collins, vice president, Comsat Mobile Communications.

The service is expected to
become commercially available in the second half of this year, said the company.
