CEDAR KNOLLS, N.J.-Omnipoint Communications announced it is offering the Nokia 5190
and 6190 Global System for Mobile communications handsets.
Among other things, the Nokia 5190 features the
NaviKey, a one-button navigation tool for easy, one-handed use and changeable color plates that allow the user make
the phone one of several colors including red, green, blue, orange and silver, said Omnipoint.
The Nokia 6190
includes a feature called Profiles, which enables the selection of phone settings such as ‘silent,’ ‘meeting’ and ‘outdoor,’
in addition to its standard features such as a large graphical display and a 250-number directory.
