ATLANTA-Global Wireless Data announced it is the North American distributor for the new Ericsson M3090 Mobitex wireless modem.
“We chose Global Wireless Data as our North American distributor for the M3090 OEM modem because of their broad experience as a distributor and value-added reseller in the wireless data industry,” said Tuomo Keinanen, general manager for Ericsson Mobitex Modems.
The M3090 is made for fixed mobile data solutions such as automatic teller machines, vending machines, meter reading and mobile fleet tracking. It is designed to run exclusively over the BellSouth Intelligent Wireless Network. GWD plans to begin offering the modem early in the third quarter for $225 per modem in volume quantities.
