MADRID, Spain-The consortium led by Telefonica InterContinental received notification it has prequalified to take part in the bidding for a second Global System for Mobile communication telephone license in Morocco, said Telefonica.
The consortium includes Portugal Telecom Internacional and the Moroccan group Banque Marocaine du Commerce Exteriur.
Bidding conditions will be published by Morocco’s National Telecommunications Regulatory Agency on April 20 and the consortia must present offers in June. The winner will be announced in July.
