TORONTO-Bell Mobility announced it signed a memorandum of understanding with NeoPoint Inc., formerly Innovative Global Solution, to introduce the new NeoPoint smart phone to Bell Mobility Digital personal communications services customers in Canada.
NeoPoint’s handset, the NeoPoint 1000, is a combined personal information manager and Code Division Multiple Access phone. It combines data capabilities from Phone.com for e-mail and Internet access, a voice recognition command user interface, T9 text input from Tegic Communications Inc., an icon-driven menu and PIM functions that can synchronize with desktop computers.
The companies said they plan to introduce the device late this summer in the Ontario and Quebec markets.
