BASKING RIDGE, N.J.-AT&T Wireless Services Inc. announced Group Calling, a business offer with unlimited calling among a wireless group of five to 50 subscribers and unlimited airtime to as many as five landline numbers at three fixed rates within a designated group calling area.
The service officially was launched after more than 400 companies in a variety of industries took advantage of the offer during the four months prior to the official launch.
Group Calling is designed for local, mobile businesses such as sales and service, delivery and distribution, dispatch and contractors that operate within a specific geographic area, said AT&T.
Group Calling is offered in $50, $70 and $90 price plans, depending on the number of home calling minutes a subscriber wants. Home area additional wireless airtime minutes are billed at 30 cents, 25 cents and 20 cents per minute, depending on the calling plan. All plans include voice mail with digital personal communications services messaging and caller ID at no extra charge, said AT&T.
The service is available in most major AT&T Wireless markets and will be available in all major markets by the end of the year. AT&T said the offer requires the use of digital dual-mode or tri-mode phones or PocketNet equipment.
