KANSAS CITY, Mo.-Sprint PCS said it signed a three-year contract with Nortel Networks valued at least $520 million for cdmaOne equipment and services for Phase III of Sprint PCS’ nationwide wireless network development and expansion.
Under terms of the contract, Nortel Networks will provide and install Code Division Multiple Access network infrastructure equipment and services, including the third-generation multi-carrier Metro Call base station, switches, intelligent network components and software.
