LITTLE ROCK, Ark.-Alltel Corp. said it is deploying Lightbridge Inc.’s FraudBuster fraud detection software.
“FraudBuster will alert us when wireless accounts show a pattern of activity that match one of the common criminal behavior patterns set up in the system,” said Adrieanna Glover, manager of Alltel’s loss prevention center. “Our investigative team then analyzes the activities, beginning with the most suspicious accounts at the top of the list. In some cases, Alltel makes a courtesy phone call to check on a customer whose account shows signs of possible fraudulent activity.”
