ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill.-Motorola Inc.’s Network Solutions Sector and RadioMobil of the Czech Republic signed a contract to deploy a General Packet Radio Service system on RadioMobil’s Paegas Global System for Mobile communications network.
The initial GPRS network will cover the major cities of Prague and Brno, said Motorola.
The Motorola NSS GPRS system is designed to support efficient packet-mode access to Internet-based data communications services, including e-mail, Web access and mobile banking over GSM networks. Motorola said the system uses key elements from Cisco Systems Inc.
