RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.J.-Ericsson Inc. announced it formed Ericsson Wireless Internet Solutions, a new unit that will marry Ericsson’s knowledge in wireless technologies and the Internet, and offer an array of wireless Internet solutions tailored to benefit cellular operators, service providers and enterprises.
Separately, GoAmerica Communications Corp. of Hackensack, N.J., announced a three-year partnership with Ericsson WIS, to expand wireless data options for mobile customers and enhance existing wireless network technologies.
The first phase of the GoAmerica agreement is a strategic joint marketing program for the GoAmerica Web@Hand portfolio of wireless e-mail, Internet and intranet access services.
