RESTON, Va.-American Mobile Satellite Corp. released second-quarter financial results with a net loss of $42.4 million, or $1.31 per share, compared to $39 million, or $1.23 per share, reported after the corresponding period last year.
Revenues for the quarter increased 2 percent to $22.9 million from $22.4 million the year before. However, service revenues fell slightly to $16.6 million from $16.7 million reported for the same time the previous year.
The company said it recorded record subscriber growth during the quarter, adding 10,100 units to complete the period with 123,100 subscribers.
