MALVERN, Pa.-Triton PCS Inc. reported revenues for the second quarter ended June 30 of $26.7 million and subscribers totaling 78,364, an increase of 34,586 subscribers from the same time the previous year.
The company reported a loss of $17.5 million before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization.
“In June, we completed the first phase of our digital wireless network buildout, launching commercial service in 15 markets with a population of approximately 8.7 million people,” said Michael E. Kalogris, Triton PCS chairman and chief executive officer.
Kalogris said he expects the company to complete the second phase of its buildout by the end of this year, bringing wireless service to 18 more markets in the Southeast.
