SANTA CLARA, Calif.-Internet portal company Yahoo! Inc. added to its Yahoo! Everywhere strategy with the introduction of Yahoo! Mobile, which allows users to personalize the Yahoo!-based content and services they want delivered to their wireless devices.

The first stage of the Yahoo! Mobile deployment allows customers to extend Yahoo! services to Palm Computing- and Windows CE-based devices. The solution is expected to include other wireless devices-such as pagers, data-enabled phones and other devices-in the fourth quarter.

Yahoo! Mobile allows users to set preference control settings for the delivery of Yahoo! content to their device. It also provides access to news, instructions, tutorials, downloads and connections to mobile-related sites and additional information related to the use and functionality of specific wireless devices, the company said.

Yahoo! has agreements with Palm Computing, Paging Network Inc. and Sprint PCS to offer Yahoo! Web content and services to their respective customers.
