FREMONT, Calif.-ePhone Telecom Inc. announced it secured an initial agreement with Saigon Postel Corp. for the development of a fixed wireless local loop telephony network in Vietnam.
SPC has the authority to provide telecommunications services in Vietnam, contributing to the national telecommunications plan of adding 2.5 million local telephone lines in the country.
To reach its target, SPC is seeking to develop associations with foreign operators under terms of a business cooperation contract, under the Foreign Investment Laws of Vietnam.
General Tel Inc., a subsidiary of ePhone, specializes in broadband Code Division Multiple Access infrastructure and Internet telephony, and has been chosen as the partner for the project.
ePhone said it will offer solutions in design, installation, operation, training, billing, network management and service.
