LA JOLLA, Calif.-NeoPoint Inc. said it has begun volume shipments of the NeoPoint 1000 smart phone to Sprint PCS, which will market the handset as the Sprint PCS NP1000.
Sanford Weisman, senior vice president of sales and marketing for NeoPoint, said the company is including its SoftSync Plus software and SoftSync Cable, which allows users to synchronize data with their PC. NeoPoint said it also is including a travel charger and a desktop holder.
The NeoPoint 1000 is a personal communications services phone and personal organizer, and has the capability to send and receive e-mail and access the Internet. Sprint PCS will offer the phone for $400.
