LGC SYSTEM TO PROVIDE WIRELESS IN MALAYSIA

NEW ORLEANS-LGC Wireless announced its LGCell system has been selected to provide wireless access in the tallest buildings in the world-the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Petronas Twin Towers consist of two 88-story towers with a shopping mall in between them.

LGC Wireless is teaming with local distributor and integrator ENC Sendirian Berhad, as well as a local Global System for Mobile communications 900 operator, to implement the LGCell system.

LGCell consists of small hubs and antennas modeled after corporate data network architectures. Installation in all 184 stories begins this fall and is expected to be completed by the end of the year, said LGC Wireless.
