DALLAS-PageMart Wireless Inc., which will be known as WebLink Wireless beginning Dec. 1, said Vitria Technology Inc., developer of the BusinessWare eBusiness automation platform, and DMR Consulting Group have joined its enterprise solution partner program to provide business-to-business solutions over PageMart’s wireless network.
The expected solution allows users to send and access data from enterprise applications such as SAP, Oracle, Peoplesoft, Siebel and Clarify using either two-way pagers or wirelessly enabled handheld organizers, the company said. It also sends corporate content like trouble tickets and authorizations directly from the Internet to the same devices. DMR is involved as the system integrator for the solution.
“This partnership is truly the convergence of computing and wireless,” said Doug Glen, vice president of corporate development at PageMart. “We can reduce the time it takes to complete a service request from hours to minutes, which in turn allows companies to meet service level commitments, reduce costs and improve service quality.”
