REDWOOD CITY, Calif.-Phone.com Inc. struck deals with two different content providers to add Internet services to its MyPhone portal service-Traffic Station Inc. and Data Broadcasting Corp.
Traffic Station is a national provider of personalized traffic and transportation information. The company said it will use the MyPhone Service to deliver alerts and reports to phones subscribed to the mobile Internet platform.
Data Broadcasting Corp. provides financial market data to traders and individual investors. Under the agreement, it will supply eSignal market quotes to subscribers.
Other MyPhone services include news feeds, e-mail, address book and calendar functionality. Phone.com operates the platform, which wireless carriers may brand and offer to their wireless Internet customers.
