IRVINE, Calif.-Go2 Systems Inc. has created 300 individual Web sites that allow portable communications devices to access more than 11 million Yellow Page records, one topic and one neighborhood at a time, the company announced.
Go2 is the product name for Go2 Systems’ global addressing and locator system, which the company said is the first of its kind.
“Go2 transforms the Internet into a relevant local resource. [It helps] users find and do business with the nearest restaurants, coffee shops, doctors, lawyers or even piano teachers,” said Lee Hancock, founder and president.
“Instead of searching for restaurants and getting everything from here to Peoria, people can type in `Go2burgers.com’ and find the closest burger joint. [This creates] a new way of shopping and turning the Internet into a new kind of neighborhood resource.”
