VANCOUVER, British Columbia-Sierra Wireless announced it signed a multi-year, $24 million contract with Sprint PCS to supply Code Division Multiple Access data products to the operator.
The deal calls for Sierra to provide digital CDMA PC cards to Sprint PCS over a minimum of 24 months beginning in the second half of this year. According to Sierra, the cards fit into a standard Type II slot on a laptop or other handheld computer and enable customers to dial into a corporate network or the Internet directly from the device.
