ePhones.com launches Web site

FREMONT, Calif.-ePhones.com launched SmartPhones.com, a Web site designed to provide customers with an objective resource for Wireless Application Protocol-enabled phones, the company said.

SmartPhones.com features sections with links to wireless Internet-ready sites on subject areas such as entertainment, finance, sports, traffic, travel and news.

Customers who already own WAP-enabled phones can see new “Smart Sites” and learn about new services and developments, ePhones.com said. The site also includes referrals to WAP developers, helping business customers find applications or software developers that meet their needs.

In related news, the company announced it launched the ePhones Partner Program, allowing participating retailers to offer wireless service and products online.

Participating retailers and dealers will have access to ePhones.com’s Web site, which includes a nationwide carriers rate plan database, customer product reviews and detailed product information, said the company. They also can sell new services such as digital subscriber line and long distance.
