ISTANBUL, Turkey-Hoping to cash in on the Turkish government’s intention to issue official tender documents to select a third and fourth mobile operator, France Telecom S.A. has teamed up with several Turkish businesses to compete for a Global System for Mobile communications 1800 license.
Those joining France Telecom in the consortium include Fiba Holding, a group of companies with substantial activities in financial services, retailing and energy; Suzer Holding, a group of companies with substantial interests in financial services, industry, retailing, energy and construction; and Enka Insaat ve Sanayi, a company with activities in construction, engineering, industry, energy and infrastructure.
