The story in the March 20 issue of RCR about Sema acquiring LHS incorrectly attributed the quote, “Basically they’re overpaying. Sema has no track record of major acquisitions.” to Michael Turits of Prudential Securities. It should have been attributed to Michael Finney of Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette. It was also Finney who noted the market was unhappy with Sema buying a current technology instead of future technology, and not Turits.
The March 13 article “Conflicting data found in RF research studies” referred to Dr. Joseph Roti Roti as a Motorola Inc.-sponsored scientist. Motorola said that while it has funded Roti Roti to conduct RF health research it did not underwrite a new study of his that initially found genetic damage from mobile phone-like radio-frequency radiation but failed to get the same result in a repeat experiment.
