SAN JOSE, Calif.-Digital Microwave Corp., which supplies wireless access solutions for broadband fixed wireless and mobile cellular networks, is changing its name to DMC Stratex Networks Inc.
“We are very proud of our heritage and early successes in introducing one of the first cost-effective, highly producible microwave radios in the industry,” explained Charles Kissner, chairman of the board of directors at DMC. “However, the company’s dramatic progress, especially in the last few years, in expanding into a full-line solutions partner serving many new wireless applications, has dictated that we review our corporate identity.”
DMC also announced Sam Smookler, currently president and chief operating officer, was appointed president and chief executive officer of the company.
