DALLAS-Western Wireless Corp., a provider of wireless communications services, signed a three-year, $200 million supply agreement with Nortel Networks Corp. to support subscriber growth in existing markets, service deployment in new markets and evolution to wireless Internet services.
The agreement also includes Nortel’s digital subscriber line and symmetrical DSL solutions, allowing Western Wireless to offer bundled DSL voice and data services in competitive local exchange carrier markets, and SDSL services in metropolitan and rural areas of Montana.
In addition, Western Wireless is enhancing its voice-switching network by expanding into broadband wireline services, enabling bundled local, long-distance and high-speed Internet services for businesses and residences.
