GREENSBORO, N.C.-RF Micro Devices Inc., a provider of proprietary radio-frequency integrated circuits for wireless communications applications, opened its first local European sales and support center in the United Kingdom.
The office, located in Reading along the M4 corridor, will house a U.K.-based support staff of sales representatives and design engineers.
“We believe the U.K. is a critical market for our products with tremendous growth potential in the consumer wireless arena, especially in the area of [Global System for Mobile communications] handset design and development,” said Greg Thompson, director of sales for RF Micro Devices. “This type of direct local support is of paramount importance when establishing a stronger presence in a strategic marketplace.”
