REDWOOD CITY, Calif.-AlterEgo Networks Inc., a provider of adaptive network services for the wireless Internet, and Inktomi Corp., a developer of scalable Internet infrastructure software, will deliver a service-based network infrastructure designed specifically for adapting and delivering Web content to wireless devices.
Under the agreement, AlterEgo will expand its existing deployment of the Inktomi Traffic Server network cache platform throughout its adaptive network. The integration will enable the delivery of Web content to multiple wireless devices, including personal digital assistants, mobile phones, pagers, laptop computers and other Internet appliances.
