PCIA announces Galvin as keynote

ALEXANDRIA, Va.-The Personal Communications Industry Association reported that Christopher Galvin, chairman and chief executive officer of Motorola Inc., will be the opening keynote speaker at PCIA’s GlobalXChange.

“As one of our longstanding industry leaders and supporters, Mr. Galvin has a unique vantage point from which to reflect on how and where this evolving industry is heading,” said Jay Kitchen, president of PCIA. “He is the ideal executive to present the first keynote address at PCIA GlobalXChange.”

Galvin will be joined by Jeff Hawkins of Handspring, Dennis Lahey of OracleMobile.com, John McFarlane of Sun Microsystems, John Pleasants of TicketMaster Online-CitySearch, Kaj-Erik Relander of Sonera Corp., Arun Sarin of InfoSpace and Ronald Smith of Intel Corp.
