RESTON, Va.-Motient Corp. announced an agreement with Internet content leader Yahoo! Inc. under which Yahoo! will use Motient’s eLink service and wireless network to provide Yahoo! users with wireless access to its content and services.
Motient also released second-quarter operating results, posting a net loss of $40.4 million, or 82 cents per share, compared with a net loss of $42.4 million, or $1.31 per share, reported last year.
Motient subscribers increased by 19,010 during the quarter to reach 170,043. Revenues climbed to $25.7 million, compared with $22.9 million during the same quarter last year.
